More education in May

Last month, we hosted a string of educational offerings on topics ranging from Short Sales to the Federal Housing Stimulus.

In May, we're proud to offer a number of networking and learning opportunities for our members. Mark your calendars!

May 5 is our May Membership Luncheon, where our guest speakers will be Maurice "Mo" Green and school board chairman Alan Duncan. The two officials will be on hand to discuss the system's budget and strategic plan for the coming school year.

If you'd like to attend, RSVP to Sharon Gray, 854-5868 or sgray@grra.org.

On May 7 we'll host a panel discussion entitled "Holding the Deal Together." Have you ever had a deal fall through at the least minute? Do you want to to learn how to avoid some of the most common pitfalls?

This seminar is for you. "Holding the Deal Together" draws on the experience of a group of seasoned Real Estate professionals to help you make sure you have your bases covered right up to the closing table.  The discussion will start  at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free, but seats are limited -- RSVP today to Sharon Gray, 854-5868 or sgray@grra.org.

On May 12, we'll host another Interactive Marketing Brown Bag with our friends from the News & Record. This program was very well received earlier this year, so we're offering it again for those of you who couldn't make it. More and more, buyers are turning to the Internet for their housing search. Learn how to raise your web profile through strategic Internet marketing!

On May 19, our Brown Bag will focus on Beginner's Yoga. Have you always been curious about yoga, but never explored it? Now's your chance! We'll welcome instructor Judy Rossabi to talk about the health benefits of this popular form of exercise.

Both Brown Bag Lunches start at 11:30 a.m. -- bring your lunch and we'll provide the drinks and desert!

It all wraps up with our CE Day on May 28, with Mandatory Update and BICAR -- to sign up for either course, contact Megan Tasman, mmoore@grra.org or 854-5868.

We look forward to seeing you at the GRRA during the month of May!
